The Butcher Brothers are the filmmaking alter-egos of American film directors Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores.

Biography

Their first feature film The Hamiltons[1] was the winner of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival[2] and the Malibu International Film Festival[3] and released by Lions Gate Entertainment in 2006 (Limited Theatrical) and 2007 (DVD).[4] Their influences include Tobe Hooper, David Cronenberg, and David Lynch.

In 2007 they filmed the video for the Static-X song "Destroyer". [5] They shot the horror film The Violent Kind[6], which is part of the Sundance Film Festival 2010.[7] The Butcher Brothers are currently working on Black Sunset[8], a psychological thriller, which is procduced by Cynthia Stafford of Queen Nefertari Prod.[9] The brothers works currently on the sequel to The Hamiltons, The Thompson is planned for 2011.[10]
